Post-Cracking Behaviour of Fibre-Reinforced Shotcrete: A Numerical Comparison between Beams and Panels

نویسندگان

چکیده

Fibre-reinforced shotcrete is an essential part of the support hard rock tunnels. Due to complexity design, a combination empirical and numerical analysis commonly used in design. The required dosage fibres for structural purposes determined based on minimum energy absorption or residual flexural strength. latter derived from tests beams, while tested panels. It widely known that beams suffer large scatter results due short fracture zone with natural variation number orientation which bridge crack. This impacts characteristic strength these negatively. paper presents study investigate how test method affects fibres. First, non-linear model continuum damage mechanics presented. Thereafter, tuned against A then simulate response panel vice versa. indicate size has significant effect post-cracking behaviour could be decreased if specimens longer zones, i.e., panels slabs, are used.

Laboratory testing of steel fibre reinforced shotcrete

Uniaxial and triaxial compression tests on steel fibre reinforced shotcrete (SFRS) have been used to quantify the elastic–plastic response behaviour for both the peak and post-peak regions. The laboratory tests were conducted with a servo-controlled testing machine to obtain complete stress–strain curves. The test results include unconfined and triaxial compressive strengths, shear strengths an...

Fatigue behaviour of short fibre reinforced polyamide: morphological and numerical analysis of fibre orientation effects

The fatigue behaviour of injection moulded short fibre reinforced polymers depends upon fibre orientation, as shown in experiments conducted with notched specimens injected through different injection gates. The different fatigue behaviour is related to the different local elastic properties, as determined by the different fibre orientation patterns, resulting into different strain distribution...

Numerical Study on the Flexural Behaviour of Concrete Beams Reinforced by GFRP Bars

Enhancement of the response of reinforced concrete (RC) beams using fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) reinforcement bars has become a popular structural technique over the past two decades due to the well-known advantages of FRP composites including their high strength-to-weight ratio and excellent corrosion resistance. Thisstudy presents n...

Behaviour of fibre reinforced concrete slabs

This paper presents a comparison of the properties of concrete slabs when two types of fibres are added. One specimen had no fibres and acted as a control specimen. The remaining four specimens had steel and polypropylene fibres added in the volumetric ratio of 0.5% and 1.0%. The dimensions of the slab specimens were 820×820×80 mm and were supported by four rollers at their edges. A displacemen...
